Lilac Surprise
"Lilac Surprise" is an abstract expressionist piece created with acrylic paint. This piece is one in an abstract expressionist series that focused on me regaining my mental health after some very serious health issues in my family. The ability to throw paint onto the canvas saved me from an emotional breakdown. I am a big believer that creating is healing to the soul. This piece is full of violets, purple, cream, green and red raining down on the canvas.

What is your inspiration behind this piece?
This piece was inspired by my daughter fighting for her life. This painting represents the emotional release that came when we got the word she was added to the liver transplant list.
