How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?
Health is at the center of life, and the heart is the body’s engine. Recently, in the midst of grocery shopping on an ordinary fall morning, my heart let me know it needed help. Since then I’ve become hyper-aware of the rhythm of my heartbeats and the pattern of my pulse. Therefore, the heart features prominently in this painting.
Question: How do you mend a broken heart?
Answers:
1. Exercise, eat right, manage stress, get adequate sleep, and be sure to keep up with regular doctor visits.
2. Know your numbers: blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, etc.
3. Practice gratitude daily by showing kindness, respect and empathy to others.
4. Engage in the arts: music, dancing, painting, sculpting, writing...whatever feeds your heart, mind and soul. The act of creating promotes healing.
