Statement

Disability becomes the focus of the injured. In my investigational practice I have explored the dynamic of perception of ability vs. what is achievable; that which we can become in the face of unsurmountable opposition. Internally, externally, that which limits is physiological; a false referendum of societal worth that only the individual may overcome.

The pursuit of a connection between memory and the present-self has led me down a road of action and inaction. If certain events occurred or not, would my path in life be any less different? An exploration of these events lead to a more profound understanding of myself and the meaning of memory. The interaction of which forms the basis of current interest.

Dreams have long been considered a doorway to the inner workings of the Human psyche. While their imagery and connotations may or may not yield insight, they can be a starting point for investigating internal conflict and interpersonal relationships. By using dreams to seed our exploration of personal interactions we reveal impulses, desires, and fears not readily available to the conscious mind.
